Tucked away in the southwestern corner of the island, Portals Vells is a tranquil, sandy cove that ranks among the top 20 beaches in Mallorca. Just a stone's throw away from the bustling party hub of Magaluf, this beach offers a stark contrast with its serene and calm ambiance.

Portals Vells is a haven of tranquility, drawing locals and tourists alike with its serene atmosphere. Its compact size ensures it's never too crowded, making it a favorite among German and British tourists, as well as families. The beach, nestled on the fringe of the expansive bay of Palma, stretches just 30 meters long and 20 meters wide. This limited space deters large crowds, but an early arrival is recommended during the summer peak.

The beach offers a limited supply of umbrellas and lounge chairs for rent, but most visitors prefer to lay their towels on the sand or nearby rocks. The beach is bordered by a lush pine forest and small hills, with minimal development in sight. While there are no water sports facilities for rent, the beach does offer toilets and a large restaurant that serves delicious beach food, Mallorcan specialties, and tapas.
