Es Baluard, always at the forefront of contemporary art, has already unveiled its ambitious 2023 program, featuring exhibitions from a range of talented artists. Visitors can look forward to exploring the works of Maria Lai, Dora García, Carles Congost, Jeremy Deller, Susy Gómez, Pedro G. Romero, Otobong Nkanga, Nauzet Mayor, Álvaro Perdices, and Ian Waelder. In addition, the museum's contemporary collection will be reinterpreted by curator Agustín Pérez Rubio, providing a unique perspective on the representation of the world throughout history.
The solo exhibitions at Es Baluard are set to be particularly captivating, with a diverse range of styles and themes on offer. Nauzet Mayor's "Cos en fuga. Membrana i transició" promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of transition and transformation, while Susy Gómez's "Memòria per venir" offers a poignant reflection on memory and its impact on our future. Meanwhile, Ian Waelder's "even in a Language that is not your own" promises to be an emotive exploration of identity and heritage.
