Mercat des peix
The Mercat des Peix, in Mallorca, is one of the oldest markets in the Balearic Islands. This charming and bustling market has been a center for buying and selling seafood since the 15th century. The market is definitely a must for any visitor to beautiful Mallorca.
The wide selection of seafood available for purchase at the Mercat des Peix is exceptional. Customers can choose from prawns, cuttlefish, clams, whiting, herring, mussels, swordfish, grouper, mackerel and tuna, all freshly caught and prepared for sale. Along with fish, visitors can also find a wide variety of seafood, such as crabs and lobsters. Numerous specialties, such as paella, are also offered.
