Cala es Maquer, often known as Cala s'Almunia, is a hidden treasure located 8km away from the bustling town of Santanyí and the popular Cala Santanyí. This rocky enclave, adorned with a weathered jetty, offers a unique beach experience. The primary way to reach the azure sea is through a rugged landscape of rocks and cliffs. A petite sandy stretch, less than 10 metres in length, quickly becomes a sunbather's paradise during the summer months. The enticing turquoise waters, with their sandy bottom, are a magnet for those who love snorkeling and diving. Reaching this secluded part of Mallorca's coastline can be a bit of a challenge, which keeps the crowds at bay. Recent regulations mandate visitors to leave their vehicles at Cala Llombards and embark on a 30-minute (2.5km) walk to the cove's steep stairs.
