Koa is located on one of the liveliest streets in La Lonja, just a stone's throw from the sea and Palma's historic squares. The place is more casual than fancy — that's exactly why I like it. In the evening the room fills with the murmur of conversation, cocktail glasses clink, and a platter of grilled meat lands in the middle of the table. The menu mixes international flavors with local ingredients: from a juicy grilled rib‑eye to baked sweet potatoes and a salmon portion with a slightly sweet yuzu note. Portions are generous, prices fair for the quality, and the wine list features a few good Mallorcan drops alongside international classics. The staff are quick and friendly — nobody feels pretentious. For me Koa works best as a meeting point for an informal group: you share, taste a bit of everything and often stay longer than planned. If you're looking for romance, you should choose a quieter table — or arrive later when the bar quiets down.

Koa sits practically between the most beautiful corners of La Lonja. It is owner-run, with an open counter and tables well suited for sharing. I like to go shortly before nine: the terrace still has tables, the interiors have warm lighting. The kitchen focuses on the grill — juicy steaks and a few unusual meat dishes, plus a small but well-thought-out selection of fish options. Surprisingly good are the pizzas: crispy base, creative toppings, not overdone. The waiters are quick, often speak English and Spanish, sometimes also German. For a late dinner in winter I recommend a table inside; in summer the street terrace is unbeatable. Reserving is advisable, especially on weekends.
