Landküche im Jacaranda – Abendessen aus dem Garten
If you're in the mood for a quiet dinner away from the coast, Jacaranda is a solid choice. The restaurant belongs to Finca Serena, a country hotel in the middle of the Pla de Mallorca, surrounded by vineyards and fields. Here, the season determines what ends up on the plate: the kitchen team often picks in the morning what later becomes a starter or a side. I was there on a July evening, with an orange sky and enough distance between the tables so you don't feel like you're sitting in a display room. The menu changes regularly — that evening there was delicate sea bream, juicy beef fillet and an unusual yogurt-foam mousse with honey and cardamom that lingered on the palate. The service is attentive without being intrusive; they happily explain where the ingredients come from. For me Jacaranda is a mix of rural calm and a touch of refinement — not a loud show, but a good place to eat and breathe.

Jacaranda Restaurant (Finca Serena)

Jacaranda is the restaurant of Finca Serena, located on a large estate in the heart of Mallorca's Pla de Mallorca. When you drive along the narrow country road, the first thing you notice is the silence — no beach music, just cicadas. The place itself has a patio area that is warmly lit in the evenings; tables are spaced apart, keeping the atmosphere private and relaxed. On the plate you quickly notice that much comes from the estate's own cultivation: herbs, salads, sometimes even small, firm tomatoes that aren't perfectly round but are incredibly flavorful. The menu changes regularly. On my visit there was a small welcome bread — a llonguet with smoked butter, sea salt and olivada — which kicked things off and instantly whetted the appetite. Starters included a creamy cauliflower soup with roasted almonds and a fresh tuna tartare with crispy shiso that matched surprisingly well. Main courses like sea bream and beef fillet came with seasonal sides; the quality of the fish was clean and clearly fresh. The style is more understated than ornate: good products, clear preparation, small surprising accents. Service was noticeably professional; they answered courteously in English, Spanish and German. For a calm, enjoyable evening in the countryside, Jacaranda is just right — especially if you value regional products and don't need a show at the table.
