Meine Tipps: Die besten Restaurants im Nordosten Mallorcas
When I think of northeast Mallorca, I picture terraces with salty air, pine-lined roads and plates that are simply well made. This corner of the island is less crowded than the beach areas in the west, yet it offers an astonishing variety: family-friendly seaside spots, cool beach clubs, rustic country restaurants and several Michelin-awarded addresses. My advice: plan a few evenings without a tight schedule. Breakfast in Alcúdia, a late lunch in Playa de Muro and then a relaxed dinner in Canyamel or Capdepera — that way you can feel the transition from sea to mountains. Pay attention to seasonal menus (in autumn artichokes and local potatoes are often excellent) and ask for freshly caught fish or the day's paella. And yes: some of the best places are simple wooden terraces with outstanding food — no show, just taste. In the following sections I present my favourite places and areas, with personal impressions, practical tips and small anecdotes that help you truly enjoy the evening.

Alcanada – terrace with sea views

Alcanada is calm; even in high summer the coast here feels more relaxed than other parts of the bay. I particularly like a small beach terrace that in the mornings thrives on the fishing boats and in the evenings serves simple, clean dishes: grilled fish, crisp salads and an honest paella. Bring sunscreen and arrive early for sunset — the light makes every photo better. Golf fans often combine a round with a glass of rosé on the club terrace; that makes for a perfect day at a slow pace.
