When the lights in Port Adriano harbor come on, Mallorca briefly feels like a small winter village. From December 19 to January 7 the central waterfront square turns again into the Christmas park, great for children, parents and anyone looking for a different kind of island holiday. The 300 m² ecologically operated ice rink is one of the larger attractions on the island; next to it is a 30-meter slide that gives kids (and brave adults) at least five minutes of childlike joy. The market and most activities are freely accessible, making spontaneous visits easy. Conveniently, food comes from the harbor restaurants (Vino del Mar, Bangkok Thai Tapas Bar, La Oca, My True Burger, Can Olivo), there is a dedicated snack zone and hot drinks to warm up. Opening hours are daily 12:00–20:00, on Dec 24 and 31 stalls close already at 16:00. For families: children from four years are allowed on the ice (smallest skate size ~24). My tip: on weekdays around noon is the quietest – perfect photos without the hustle.
Port Adriano Christmas Park – Ice Rink & Slide
The ice rink here is no small children's attraction: about 300 m², ecologically operated and well maintained. Skates can be rented on site; the smallest available size is about 24, so families with very small children should keep that in mind. The 30-meter slide next door is a hit – sturdy shoes, short waiting times and the whole family soon slides down happily. Opening hours: daily 12:00–20:00, on Dec 24 and Dec 31 only until 16:00. Entrance to the market and many activities is free; separate rules may apply for special shows. Recommendation: gloves, warm socks and a thermos with hot cocoa help more than you think. And yes, when the wind comes from the sea, a light parka is worth gold.

Tips for Families and Arrival
Arrival by car: parking at the harbor fills up quickly on weekends, so plan an extra 20–30 minutes. Seasonal public buses run and are a relaxed alternative — practical when you have kids. Strollers work at the square, although the area around the ice rink and stalls is a bit tighter. Toilets and changing rooms are available; an information point at the main entrance provides information in German, English, Spanish and Catalan. For families with small children: bring spare gloves and an extra outer layer; even if the sun shines, the sea breeze can sting. The best time for quiet visits: weekdays at lunchtime or early afternoon on normal days.
Santa, King Melchior & Special Dates
Santa is personally on site: Dec 22 + 23 each 17:00–20:00, on Christmas Eve 12:00–15:00. The arrival of the Three Wise Men (celebrated especially here) takes place in early January: King Melchior visits the park on Jan 2, 3 and 4 each 17:00–20:00. If you plan photos or gifts: allow 15–30 minutes waiting time depending on visitor flow. Small treats, simple photo props and a small bag of sweets make the encounter more relaxed — and fewer tears of joy.
Practical Information & Contact
Information, opening hours and last-minute changes are on the official Port Adriano website. When in doubt, give them a quick call — staff on site are friendly and multilingual. Have fun and safe travels!
