Palmas beste Meeresfrüchte 2025: 10 lokale Favoriten
Palma lives off the sea — not just for the view, but because the fishers deliver daily. I often go early to the Mercado del Olivar, see what's the catch of the day and plan dinner around a fresh dorada or some squid. Some places sit right on Moll Vell or in Portixol, others hide in old-town alleys; the best combine fresh fish with simple preparations: grilled, lightly seasoned, sometimes in a large paella for two. In this list you’ll find classics and little insider tips: restaurants with terraces for the sunset, a Galician spot with crustaceans and percebes, a simple market kitchen, and a beach place that makes salt-baked lubina exceptionally well. Practical notes: in summer reserve in the morning, in winter insist on wind-sheltered tables and ask about the midday business menu — you can often save well there. And yes: ask for the catch of the day if you’re unsure.

Mar de Nudos – Harbor vibes and fusion

Right on Moll Vell, Mar de Nudos feels like a sailing trip on a plate: subtle Japanese influences, lobster risotto and good sushi alongside grilled fish. The terrace is a lovely spot for sunset cocktails; on balmy evenings people like to linger. Tip: it gets busy on weekends, so better to reserve; the lunch menu is often cheaper than the dinner menu.

Ca n'Eduardo – Above the fish market

Right on Moll Vell, Mar de Nudos feels like a sailing trip on a plate: subtle Japanese influences, lobster risotto and good sushi alongside grilled fish. The terrace is a lovely spot for sunset cocktails; on balmy evenings people like to linger. Tip: it gets busy on weekends, so better to reserve; the lunch menu is often cheaper than the dinner menu.

Caballito de Mar – Tradition at La Lonja

In the La Lonja quarter you sit with views of the Gothic façade and the Sagrera promenade. Caballito de Mar serves solid, traditional dishes: grilled squid, seasonal lobster and classically prepared fish fillets. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service friendly, and portions are such that you still have room for an ice cream at the harbor afterwards.

La Parada del Mar – Market concept reinterpreted

The concept: you choose from the catch of the day, the kitchen does the rest. No frills, big flavour. Ideal if you’re spontaneous and want to try fresh fish straight from the market. A good option for families and groups who want to share different dishes. Value for money is usually good, and the atmosphere is down-to-earth and friendly.
