Raïm Weinfest Palma — Ein Tag voller mallorquinischer Weine
When the promenade in front of the cathedral turns into a tasting route for local wines, you know the Raïm Wine Fest is back in Palma. On November 15 the Parc de la Mar fills from midday until midnight with stands from local bodegas, food trucks and live music — perfect for a long weekend or a spontaneous city stroll. The great thing about the festival is the mix: you can taste everything from an oily Malvasía to a young Manto Negro to experimental cuvées without stiff tasting etiquette. Workshops explain pairings, there’s a corner with kid-friendly offerings and in the evening DJs spin while the city lights glitter. Entrance is free, a small plastic glass costs only a few euros, and many winemakers sell bottles to take home. My tip: arrive early, bring a jacket (bay wind!) and a notes app to save favorite bottles. That way the day is not only cosy but also useful for your next wine shop visit.

Raïm Wine Fest — Parc de la Mar, Palma

The festival on the Parc de la Mar feels like a slow walk through Mallorca’s wine landscape. Over 50 winemakers from all corners of the island set up their stands, each with one or two specialities you won’t find in supermarkets. The official schedule runs from 12:00 noon until around midnight — plenty of time to taste calmly during the day and enjoy the livelier atmosphere with music in the evening. Practical: entry is free, individual tasting glasses often start at about €3. Many exhibitors offer small flight options for €10–15 if you want to compare systematically. On one of my visits I started with a dry, mineral white, then lingered at a stand with biodynamic experiments and finally bought a bottle for home from a family business. It’s precisely these encounters — short conversations with winemakers, an honest recommendation, a small treat like a jar of marinated olive oil — that make the festival special. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes; the area is large and you walk a lot. There are also food stalls with regional snacks: sobrassada rolls, fresh paella, vegan tapas, desserts like mini ensaimadas. Logistics: parking can be tight, but bus lines to the centre are reliable; a bike or a short taxi ride are also a good idea. If you plan to taste several glasses, bring some cash — not all food trucks accept cards — and a light jacket against the sea breeze. For families there is a daytime programme, so it really becomes an event for everyone.

Food and Food Trucks

The selection ranges from Mallorca’s classics (sobrassada sandwiches, mini paella) to modern street food variations. Many stalls offer pairing suggestions for the wines — it tastes better, promised.

Family Program and Practical Tips

Children can participate in story hours and craft workshops in the afternoon. Stands often have non-alcoholic alternatives; bring a sun hat and a jacket, and plan to use public transport for the return trip.
