Raid in Foners: Delivery Service on Two and Four Wheels

In Palma the National Police in the early morning hours uncovered a suspected drug ring. According to eyewitnesses, the operation began around 6 a.m. near the Foners district — several police cars, a tangle of radios, and officers conducting searches of houses. In total seven people were arrested.

How the Gang Is Said to Have Operated

The investigators suspect that the group delivered drugs directly to customers — partly by cars, partly by e-scooters. This explains why residents in recent weeks have repeatedly seen quick rides and nighttime stops. A housing find in the Carrer de Foners area apparently served as a warehouse: there the police discovered several cans and bags with cocaine, hashish and marijuana.

The alleged leader remained hidden for a long time, according to police. During an initial escape attempt he reportedly dodged across rooftops but was later apprehended. Such scenes sparked talk in the district: “You hear scooters here a lot, but I never would have thought they were drug deliveries,” says a neighbor who did not want to be named.

Clues, Seizures and Investigation Status

For the investigators, the seized substances and the confiscated mobile phones are important. After initial assessments, orders could have been organized via Messenger app. The police are conducting several procedures – among others for drug trafficking and involvement in a criminal organization. Whether the defendants are already customers or part of a larger network is under review.

In the neighborhood people are divided: Some residents feel relieved, others wonder how long such structures have existed. The authorities stressed that further checks are possible and explained that they intend to increase presence in problematic residential areas.

It remains to be seen how the judiciary pursues the cases. For those directly involved, months of investigations and court proceedings could lie ahead – for the neighborhood, one hopes for more calm and clarity.

Anyone in the neighborhood who observed something should contact the National Police.
