Is a beach day in Mallorca getting too expensive?

In places like Playa de Palma, basic beach use is becoming more expensive, especially if you want a sunbed, umbrella or watersports service. That does not mean the beach itself is no longer public, but the comfortable version of a beach day may cost more than many visitors expect. People who bring their own towels and skip extras will feel the change less.
