A predominantly cloudy but mild day in Sóller: temperatures near 30°C, wind remains light, and rain is unlikely.
Cloudy, mild — and Sóller is still strolling around
Anyone strolling through Sóller's old town this afternoon has clearly noticed the same as I did: the sky hangs in one or two layers of gray, but it still feels pleasantly warm. The editorial team notes the measurement time 14:52 — exactly the moment when the sun disappears behind a layer of clouds and the awnings on the Paseo begin to flutter.
Temperatures and Felt Temperature
Minimum: around 20.0 °C in the morning. Maximum: almost 30.0 °C in the afternoon. More precisely, the thermometer today ranges from about 19.8 °C to 29.9 °C. The felt values lie only slightly below or above: in the morning about 20 °C, during the day around 29 °C, in the evening still around 23 °C.
In short: no heat anomaly, but a jacket in the evening isn't a bad idea, especially in the valley where the air cools more quickly.
Air pressure, humidity and wind
Air pressure is stable at around 1015 hPa. Humidity is about 35% — you can feel it in the clear air, even though there are clouds overhead. The wind is weak, just over 2 m/s, from the west-southwest (approximately 250°). Gusts are hardly to be expected, so no drama for the beach chairs at Port de Sóller.
Rain? Not today.
Layered cloud cover accounts for roughly two-thirds of the sky, but the chance of rain is practically zero. So if you are planning an evening stroll toward the Tramuntana or a little time by the sea, you can do it without an umbrella — perhaps with a light sweater.
Practical tips from the town
The cafés on the Plaça are well attended, outdoor tables taken. A coffee on the Paseo tastes just right today — not too hot, not too cool. For hikers: the paths up into the mountains are dry, but shade spots are scarce. Don't forget your water bottle, the sun comes through even if it hides.
And if you are driving today to the post office or the Serpentines road to the coast: a bit more caution on the bends, the rocks look darker in cloudy conditions.
Short verdict
A typical, calm late-summer day in Sóller: mild, predominantly dry and with light wind. Not weather for big surprises — more for relaxed hours outdoors, an ice cream or a short harbor stroll. I'll soon take another walk along the seafront; perhaps we'll run into each other there.
