Puig Major and Mallorca's strongest wind events

Puig Major often records some of the strongest gusts in Mallorca because it is the island's highest point and very exposed. That makes it a useful indicator of how severe the wind event is across the island. Conditions there can be much harsher than in lower or more sheltered areas.
