Heidi Klum is the new face of AIGNER. On Mallorca that means: elegant bags, sturdy leather pieces and a look that works just as well at the Sunday market in Santa Catalina as it does for dinner by the harbor.

Heidi Klum for AIGNER: More than just a celebrity face — an island statement

Yesterday morning, still with the scent of coffee from Passeig del Born in my nostrils and the market women's chatter in my ears, I looked through the new campaign images. Not a loud spectacle, rather a quiet statement: Heidi Klum is the new global testimonial for AIGNER. The photos feel pared back, with leather and colours that linger — exactly what people on the island appreciate here: solid quality that allows for stories.

The bags: companions for market, boat and bar

In the pictures we see the Autumn/Winter 2025 models, shot in Los Angeles — sunlight instead of the Tramuntana, but that does not diminish the pieces. Especially present: the CYBILL Bag in black, burgundy and cognac as well as the dark red leather trench coat, which at first glance seems more like evening wear than a raincoat. A touch of glamour without being excessive.

My favourite for the island: the CARRÉ SOFT in cognac. Soft leather, braided handle, pleasant to the touch — exactly the kind of bag you take from the Sunday market in Santa Catalina to the harbour of Portixol. On Mallorca bags need a bit of robustness for the weekly market, room for purchases and still a portion of elegance for evening dinners by the water. Klum is said to own several sizes: a large model for longer outings and a small bag for quick appointments. That sounds familiar — we know that here.

One look, many facets

The collection plays with contrasts: restrained cuts, strong colour accents and a few playful details. The FARAH Bag in burgundy complements the dark red coat, and suddenly a simple walk along Avinguda Jaume III looks like a catwalk — of course with an espresso in hand and the seagulls calling from the sea in the background. Christian Alexander Beck, Creative Director, describes the collaboration as a tribute to women who remain true to themselves. That is a pleasant image you can easily imagine on the island.

For Mallorca there is a small practical side effect: bags that are robust enough for a trip in a small motorboat and at the same time elegant enough for dinner by the harbour have a good chance of earning permanent spots in the wardrobe. I can already picture the CARRÉ SOFT lying next to the shopping baskets at Mercat de l'Olivar — practical and beautiful at once.

Available is the Autumn/Winter collection since July 2025 in all AIGNER stores and online. For lovers of good materials the classic colours and the feel of the leather are the purchase arguments; for fans of Heidi it is another facet of her public role: model, businesswoman, style icon. On the island such stories often mix with everyday experiences — a shop window glance, a comment in the café, a repeat purchase on the next visit.

A small personal tip to finish: pair cognac tones with lightweight linen garments or a denim jacket for the cooler evenings on the beach. That way a piece of luxury becomes a reliable everyday companion — and that is often the loveliest thing, without much shine.

Will the collaboration last? I think so. Not because a celebrity is attached to it, but because the pieces deliver what they promise: timeless looks with personality. On my next stroll through Palma's old town I'll certainly look more closely at the shop windows — and maybe a CARRÉ SOFT will soon be lying next to my market purchase.
