In the Auditorium of Calvià on Saturday evening a sparkling night took place: Bayan Al Masri was chosen Miss Grand Islas Baleares 2025 — an evening full of fashion, music and emotion.
An Evening That Resonates Long After
Saturday, late evening light, a cool wind blew in from the coast — and inside the Auditorium of Calvià it was hot: not because of the heating, but because of applause, tension and stage nerves. Ten young women stood on the stage, each with her own story. Around 10:30 p.m. the audience cheered the loudest: 24-year-old Bayan Al Masri was crowned Miss Grand Islas Baleares 2025.
More Than Just a Runway
The whole event was not a spontaneous fashion show, but the result of months of preparation. The contestants appeared three times that evening — swimsuit, evening gown and a free walk with a personal touch. But it was not just about looks: rhetoric exercises, fitness workouts and self-presentation were part of the preparation. Some mothers, friends and small groups of fans sat in the front rows; at one point you could hear a child loudly shout "Ole!" — charming and genuine.
Alongside the new island queen, Michelle Nicolás (Menorca) and Evelyn Raineri (Ibiza) were also celebrated: they received recognition titles and will represent the islands at the next national competition. The judges, made up of fashion professionals and local organizers, had a tricky evening — the decision was close, palpable in every exchanged glance.
Show, Music and Little Surprises
Between the catwalks, acts and musical pieces filled the breaks: an aerial acrobatics performance lifted the audience, a small children's dance group provided laughter, and a plus-size model received well-deserved applause for confidence and poise. Singer Nendy Bota delivered an atmospheric set that bridged the transitions.
When the winner held her bouquet, the entire auditorium seemed to hold its breath for a moment. You could see relief, tears, hugs. Nights like these become memories — for the winners, but also for the neighbor who sat next to me constantly blinking at her phone to take photos.
What Remains
The pageant is both a starting signal and a responsibility for the winners: representation, appearances, workshops — and preparation for the national competition. For the island it was an evening full of shine, yes, but above all: a small, well-executed community event that lingered in memory long after the night out.
Location: Auditorium Calvià, Peguera — Time: Saturday evening, finale around 10:30 p.m.
