A new, intimate evening series starts at Tiki Beach: jewelry, prosecco and personal conversations with host Peggy Jerofke. A mix of creative handicraft and cozy beach atmosphere, ideal for the quieter season on Mallorca's east coast.
Jewelry, sea and prosecco: "Pearl Island" makes late summer cozy at the Tiki Beach
As the high season slowly winds down and the bar on the east coast more often gives way to the sound of the waves, Peggy Jerofke brings new life to the Tiki Beach: her evening series "Pearl Island" combines handmade jewelry, small dishes and plenty of time for personal conversations. At the opening a few weeks ago the wooden terrace was filled with laughter, the clinking of champagne glasses and the quiet chirping of crickets — an evening that lingered long after.
What can guests expect on these evenings?
No big speeches, no show program. Instead, Peggy gives each guest three of her bracelets — fresh from the workshop, under the label she started this summer. Early arrivals receive a welcome prosecco. The kitchen offers small bites with Japanese, Peruvian and Hawaiian influences, relaxed music plays and the sea murmurs in the background. Everything very personal, everything very handmade.
Peggy herself gets involved. She is often at the venue, helps out, sometimes washes cutlery and sits down with guests from time to time. That makes the evenings approachable. No management pretense, but a host who helps — you can feel it in the atmosphere: relaxed, warm, almost family-like.
Why this is good for Mallorca
Formats like this are good for the island: they extend the season and create space for local creatives. Tourists who consciously want something other than sunbeds find a meeting place here — with taste, the sounds of the sea and a small souvenir that wasn't made in a discount store. Around 80 percent of the regulars at the Tiki Beach are currently German holidaymakers. For many, that's just right: combining holiday and real island life.
Moreover, the evenings are an example of how gastronomy and local projects can come together. Small pop-ups like "Pearl Island" bring additional income, fill tables on quiet days and help keep the low season lively — a welcome signal for service staff, cooks and craftsmen alike.
Practical information & outlook
The next date is September 28, doors open at 19:00, start at 19:30. You should reserve early — by phone or via the Tiki Beach Instagram account. Whether the TV-famous guest from the opening, Paul Janke, will return is open; the main thing remains the encounter: a nice conversation, a glass of prosecco and a bracelet for the suitcase.
Tip: Those who arrive on time get the best view of the sea and can take a deep breath of the salty air as the sun slowly sets. This creates an evening that resonates long after — not only because of the necklaces, but because of the small, genuine moments.
There is plenty of potential for the future: workshops, joint evenings with other local artists or small market stalls afterward. Such ideas would not only strengthen the creative scene but also attract holidaymakers who appreciate authentic, handmade products. And the Tiki Beach? It remains the place to have a drink after the beach, meet people and take a piece of Mallorca home with you.
