Light rain mixes in late summer

This morning Santa Ponsa doesn't look as blue as yesterday. Anyone strolling along the promenade around 9 or 10 o'clock will already see the first bank of clouds: brief, fine showers are possible, nothing dramatic, but enough to keep an umbrella handy. The fishermen in the harbor will fix their nets, the tourists seek shelter under the parasols – but the beach chairs mostly stay in place.

Temperatures over the course of the day

Temperatures stay pleasantly mild: minimum temperature about 19 °C, day's high around 27 °C. In the morning we start at roughly 21 °C, in the early afternoon the thermometer sits around 23–25 °C. In the evening it slowly cools back to the low values – so a light jacket if you're planning a walk.

Humidity, pressure and wind

The air is noticeably more humid than usual: around 75% humidity. The air pressure is about 1014 hPa. In addition a fresh breeze from the northwest (about 330°) with speeds around 5–6 m/s, gusts a bit more. That means: clouds move quickly, showers come and go.

How likely is rain?

The probability of rain remains in the double digits for most hours – briefly it can rise to strong 80–100% when a dense bank of clouds passes over the coastal section. The best chances for a wet moment are in the morning and late afternoon.

Tips for the day: A light rain protection or a medium-sized umbrella is usually sufficient. If you want to stay on the beach: wait it out, often after 20–40 minutes blue sky returns. For café-goers: the street cafés on Avenida Rei Jaume today offer a cozy refuge – and a good cortado.
