Mar Chica invites to Rooftop Glamour Night: Caviar, Champagne and Music over Palma
The little black dress can stay in the closet – on March 14 the harbor will be celebrated above
When the evening sun slowly disappears behind the cathedral and soft voices and the clink of glasses rise from the Baixada de la Llum, the Mar Chica restaurant opens its rooftop for an evening of style. On March 14, from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, sea views, spotlights and a mix of gourmet bites and club atmosphere come together here, similar to other neighborhood events such as Celebrity Movie Night at Lío Palma: Popcorn, Champagne and Neighborhood Vibes.
The organizers ask for elegant attire – the little black dress is explicitly welcome – and aim for an ambience that blends pleasure and sociability, echoing scenes from Glamour at the Marina: Marcel Remus' Lifestyle Night Gives Port Adriano a Glow. The evening menu features flying food and small delicacies; as a special surprise the caviar girls from Santos Gourmet will hand out fine bites among the guests. Those who prefer to sit longer can book one of the dinner packages and will be served a starter, main course, dessert and a glass of wine at the table.
There will be a welcome drink on arrival, and a champagne bar will provide sparkling variety later on. A cigar lounge is available for aficionados – discreetly tucked at a corner of the terrace, with views over boats, masts and lights reflected on the water surface. All of this suits the idea of a mild Palma evening, where voices and music get more room than the city's noise.
Musically the evening will be carried by singer Bilonda, who performs soul, funk and disco numbers. DJ Chris Marina complements the live sets with driving club beats, so the rooftop can shift from lounge atmosphere to dance floor. The sound is planned so it doesn't drown out conversations but steadily fuels the evening's energy.
There are two ticket options: the Rooftop & Flying package costs €49 and includes entry, a MarChica cocktail and the flying food selection. For €79 the Rooftop & Dinner ticket additionally opens a table in the restaurant with menu, wine and dessert – ideal for guests who want to enjoy the evening relaxed and gastronomically. Tickets are available online at ticket.cmi.is.
Events like this do Palma good: they bring people together, give local artists a stage and make small businesses like delicatessens more visible, as in Ritzi turns 20: A Harbour Evening of Champagne, Sea Air and Old Friends.
On Carrer Torre de Paraires, not far from the harbor, moments are created this evening that feel even better with sea air, good spirits and a glass of champagne.
Anyone who likes to escape everyday life on a Saturday evening finds a simple invitation here: beautiful clothes, good company, music, a morsel of caviar and the view of the city's lights. For the island these are not big headlines, but nights like this strengthen what makes Palma – lively places, creative hosts and that light celebratory mood you take home with you for a long time.
Practical info: Restaurant Mar Chica, Carrer Torre de Paraires 1, Palma. Date: March 14, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM. Tickets: ticket.cmi.is. More details will be available on the terrace — and at dusk, when the harbor starts to shine.
