The newly opened shop in Port Adriano offers a globally unique product for treating jellyfish stings.

A Small Shop, Big Impact

Port Adriano has had a new insider tip for everyone who loves the sea since last month: the first Stingblade shop, a British company presenting an innovative tool against jellyfish stings. The response has been enormous — locals and visitors, especially Germans and Brits, are flocking to the store.

How does Stingblade work?

The principle is simple but brilliant. With the specially developed scraping instrument, the microscopically small tentacles of a jellyfish can be removed from the skin. This prevents them from becoming active again and causing further pain. Sounds simple? It is — and that is exactly what makes it so effective.

The tool comes in two variants: the Personal Sport model, which can be used directly in the water, and the Super Blade Professional, ideal for a thorough treatment on land or on boats. Both models were designed to be easy to handle and to provide fast relief.

Human and environmentally friendly

The idea comes from Mark Dyer, a sea lover with roots on Mallorca. It was important to him not only to provide practical help but also to raise awareness about the handling of jellyfish stings. The head of the Port Adriano store, Liam, explains that old methods like vinegar or urine were never really a solution. With Stingblade we remove the problem at the root: the venom is removed, the pain goes away. This can be decisive for children – physically as well as emotionally.

Environmental friendliness also plays a role here. Stingblade is made from recycled fishing nets. A sustainable production for a product that protects swimmers — sounds like a real win for all involved.

What does the future hold?

Dyer and his team have big plans. From mobile stations around Mallorca to collaboration with local authorities, they want to make their solution accessible to as many people as possible. The more people know about Stingblade, the better we can help, emphasizes Dyer.

Whether you regularly dive into the sea or only swim occasionally — Stingblade could soon become an indispensable companion for all water sports enthusiasts.
