Autumn Sun in Sóller: A Day to Stay Outdoors

Anyone who walked this morning through the narrow streets around Plaça Constitució may have rubbed their eyes for a moment: brilliant sky, warm air and people drinking their café con leche without jackets. This is not an exceptional phenomenon – October 2, 2025 brings us a classic mild autumn day, as people here have come to appreciate.

Temperatures and Feeling

The thermometer started the morning at about 18 °C and climbed to around 24 °C by the afternoon. In the late afternoon it will calm down a bit to about 21 °C, the night remains mild at around 19 °C. The perceived values are very close to the measurements – no surprising breeze, no sudden chill.

Air, Wind and more

Air pressure is stable at about 1022 hPa, humidity moderate at around 47 %. A light wind from the north brings fresh but unobtrusive air (around 2 m/s), gusts are hardly worth mentioning. Cloud cover is only a few percent, rain probability practically zero – thus ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

Concretely: If you plan a hike in the Serra de Tramuntana, you can set off without much packing. The path from Sóller towards Muleta was already well attended in the morning by locals with small dogs and guests with hiking boots. At Port de Sóller a few boats set off; the sea looks calm enough for a short excursion.

For those who prefer it more relaxed: The street cafés fill up. I looked in briefly — at the small pastry shop in Carrer de sa Mar the Brioches are still warm. You hear more Mallorcans than tourists, a pleasant mix.

Tips for the Day

Pack a light jacket for the evening, bring water, and for those who want to photograph: the light between 16:30 and 18:30 is often especially soft. Short trips with the historic train to Palma or the tram to the harbor are also recommended today.

All in all: a simple, good autumn day in Sóller. No spectacle, but precisely for that reason beautiful – ideal to enjoy the island a little longer before the colder months come.
