Late Summer in Alcúdia: A Day to Stay Outdoors

On 26 September 2025 Alcúdia enticed with one of those days when the island briefly pauses and says: stay outside. Anyone who strolled through the old town in the morning, heard the church bells and caught the scent of coffee from the Passeig Marítim immediately felt — this is not yet autumn, this is an extended weekend in late summer.

Numbers you can really feel

The measurements speak plainly: low 16.85 °C, daily high 23.63 °C. The morning began at about 18.64 °C, the daily average was near 22.85 °C. In the late afternoon it was still around 22.72 °C, at night the air drops to approximately 20.97 °C. This isn't weather to hide away — this is day-planning weather.

How it feels

And the skin confirms the numbers: felt like 18.49 °C in the morning, 22.52 °C during the day and 22.54 °C in the afternoon. Even at nine in the evening it remains warm enough with a felt temperature of 20.66 °C for a glass on the terrace or a walk along the waterline. The light sea breeze brings salt and snippets of conversation from the promenade — voices, children's laughter, the distant sound of a boat engine.

Air, wind and the clear sky

Stable air pressure at 1019 hPa, moderate humidity around 51 % and a light northeast wind of about 3.75 m/s (gusts up to approx. 3.82 m/s from ~40°) — that makes for a very relaxed climate. The chance of rain was a meager 1 %, cloud cover: 0 %. So: sailing yachts greet each other, kites mostly stay on the ground, and the sky is so clear that even the other islands would appear in imaginary conversations.

What the neighbourhood advises

The seafront filled up in the evening with families, dog owners and people who don’t want to hurry the day into bed. If you have half an hour to spare, quickly throw the beach bag in the car or hop on a bike. A short trip to the lagoon of S'Albufera is always worth it: birds, reeds, and the sound of bike tires on dry gravel — almost therapeutic.

Practical hints from the neighbourhood: At the end of September the sun sets at around 7:30 PM — enough time for tapas on one of the old town terraces or a sundowner in the harbour. And a small, sincerely meant tip: don’t forget sunscreen. UV can be surprisingly strong in late summer, even if the wind feels pleasantly cool.

A view that invites cosiness

Days like these are small gifts on Mallorca between high summer and cooler weeks: ideal for bike rides, cafés with a view of the water, and walks where the soles of your shoes still stay warm. No storm, no rain — just an uncomplicated late-summer day that invites you to stay outside and experience the island in a slightly changed but very mild mood.

If you still have time this evening: a walk across the Plaça de la Constitució or a last step on Playa de Muro is worth it. The promenade hums, the lights come on, and Alcúdia takes a deep breath — ready for the next weekend, or at least the next espresso.
